Uncompromising yet utterly accessible, May-We-Go-Round? is a collision of fiercely energetic dance and comedic theatre, taking audiences on the bitter sweet ride of romance.

A provocative, playful and gritty insight into our romantic disillusionment; it swings wildly between hilarious truths and intimate vulnerability.

The Hiccup Project's Chess recently discovered her diary from the age of 10, devoted entirely to the detailed records of her many loves. Years later, the ones we lust after still take a disproportionately large chunk of our talking time and mental space (even if we don’t like to admit it!). We find ourselves on the jangly merry go round of romance. We are enthralled by romantic experiences yet flummoxed and irritated by the whole charade. Are we enjoying it? Yes. Does it make sense? No. But, round and round we go...'.

May-We-Go-Round? is the company’s first work, and was supported by Arts Council England and South East Dance. After winning the The Pebble Trust Brighton Fringe Award in December, they completed a five-night sell out at Emporium Theatre as part of Brighton Fringe. They were shortlisted for the Audience Choice Award and won the Fringe Review Award for Outstanding Theatre and South East Dance's Space to Dance Award.
