HOMELESS FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS:
DARK DAYS (2000)
CERT 15 / 94 MINS
DIRECTED BY MARC SINGER
For the first time ever, the Homeless Film Festival comes to Brighton. HFF is the only festival in the world using the film industry as a tool to tackle and highlight the issues of homelessness; and Emporium is proud to be partnering with them to bring you this one-off screening of Marc Singer's award winning documentary Dark Days.
Three times Sundance Film Festival winner, Dark Days documents the extraordinary world beneath the streets of New York. Perpetual tunnels of darkness are inhabited by a community of unique souls, who are given light by Marc Singer's cinematic portrait, and soundtracked by DJ Shadow.
Followed by a post-film talk with special guests inc. the Living Rent Campaign.
"A remarkable film, and an unmissable rediscovery"
Time Out *****

The Guardian ****
"It's as vivid a depiction of homelessness as cinema has ever given us"
