Create Something Cycling Related out of LEGO

The Tour de France starts on Saturday 29th August, and I am big fan, in fact one of my favourite sporting events to watch. I have watched it for years, and before the Brits started to win (I remember the Armstrong years), in fact I first watched it when it was on Channel back in the 90s.

The Challenge

So the challenge is to make something cycling related, so you could build a LEGO bicycle, or maybe you will recreate your own LEGO Tour de France. Maybe your cyclist will be cycling up a beautiful French mountain.

What else could you build? It would be great to see what you build, and if you can share by using #brightonbricksbuild on social media and tagging us (we are on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) or email me at nick@brightgreenpenguin.com

LEGO and Cycling

LEGO have a bit of history with the Tour de France, having done a promotional release with the German Telekom team in 2000, and had 4 different sets. You can see these sets at Brickset

And if you fancy getting your own LEGO cyclist you can get this cool figure from minifigs.me and they also do a personalised bespoke cyclist based on a photo or description here (though it is out of stock at the time of writing) and you can even get bikes from them as well
