Brighton Bricks

Encouraging Learning Through Play

Mind the Bricks Events

Mind the Brick is our month long celebration of how LEGO bricks can help our wellbeing. We want to use this month to raise awareness of mental health issues, and encourage more people to feel they can be open about issues they have

We will be doing a lot of LEGO Brick events during this month, be it real world or online, and we hope other people will set up their own events celebrating the power of the bricks and I will be listing them below

Saturday 8th January - POSTPONED
The Brighton Bricks Show, Dice Saloon, London Road, Brighton

We will be having a show with loads of LEGO displays, as well as having lots of mental health information.

Until 16th January

Walking and being active is one way to help improve your mental health wellbeing, one way to encourage that is to take part in either of our Minifigure Trails

Fiveways Minifigure Trail - over 20 shops in the Fiveways area of Brighton.

Brilliant Brighton Bricks Trail - 42 shops in North Laine, The Lanes, and Western Road taking part in a trail we are doing in partnership with Brilliant Brighton

Thursday 20th January
Bricks & Beer Virtual LEGO Workshop

Join us for a free Bricks + Beers LEGO wellbeing event to celebrate the power of LEGO bricks in promoting wellbeing and positive mental health. We’ll be spending 90 minutes with a mix of mindful activities, and some higher paced LEGO challenges in a friendly, informal environment. You’re welcome to participate with your camera off, though we encourage those who are able to enable their camera and get involved!

Saturday 29th January
Live LEGO Set Building, Chestnut Tree House, London Road, Brighton

I will be building two LEGO sets in the shop window of the Sussex based charity, Chestnut Tree House. These sets will be raffled off to raise money for the charity
