Schools Programme

Martlets is inviting local schools and colleges to be part of the exciting Snowdogs by the Sea art event by offering them the opportunity to buy and decorate a Mini Snowdog.

This Schools Programme is designed to take pupils on a fulfilling journey of discovery and learning using a Mini Snowdog sculpture as an artist’s canvas for discussion, debate, research and application.

Snowdogs by the Sea is following in the footsteps of successful trails in Birmingham, Bristol, London and Norwich where the schools involved found them to be an innovative way to meet their educational targets as well as a wonderful way to become more involved with a local charity. The much-loved story of the Snowman and the Snowdog is one that will resonate with people of all ages. It explores important themes of love, loss and hope; a story we tell at Martlets every day.

The Mini Snowdogs cost £495 + VAT. Contact Antonia Shepherd on 01273 718782 or email schools@snowdogsbythesea.co.uk.

So that schools can receive and decorate their Mini Snowdogs before the end of the summer term, please place your order no later than Friday 11 March 2016.
