Time to Talk Day: Why LEGO & Play is Important for our Mental Health
Thursday 4th February 2020 is Time to Talk Day, but mental health should be an every day conversation, a subject we should be more open about
On social media every Tuesday, I have been posting mental health resources, and I thought it be good if I sum them up below, as well as including some good quotes on the subject of both mental health wellbeing and play
I use LEGO in workshops to promote the idea that play is good for us, how it can improve our mental health wellbeing. The reason why I think LEGO bricks are a great tool in promoting this idea, is because of the versatility on offer. You can build sets, and enjoy like me following the step by step guide of instructions, or you can create your own MOCs.

This quote is from Matt Haig, the author behind Reasons to Stay Alive, How to Stop Time and his latest book The Midnight Library
Matt openly talks about his mental health problems, and he wrote Reasons to Stay Alive to record of how he came through the thought of ending it all, and how we learnt to live again
If you would like to purchase any of his books you can do via my Amazon affiliate links, which won't cost you anything but will help support Brighton Bricks
