Charity of the Month - RISE UK: Freedom from Domestic Abuse

RISE UK

RISE is a charity formed in 1994 and offer help to those affected by domestic abuse in Sussex. Work along survivors giving practical support to help them rebuild safer lives. Each year they support over 1800 women and their families to recover and reclaim their lives.

RISE provides a range of specialist support to help

RISE Helpline - 01273 622822, which handles over 3,00 calls a year. It is staffed Monday to Friday during office hours. There is a National 24hr helpline if you need immediate help and support on 0808 2000 247

Because of all of this work, RISE need people to get involved either by volunteering, or being a RISE champion or having corporate support. As well as donating, or fundraising by taking part in a supported event or activity.

You can run in the Brighton Half Marathon for RISE, or maybe a walk along the South Downs walking anything from 10k to 60k with Just Walk's 10th Anniversary event. Or looking for something a bit more challenging you can climb Kilimanjaro in Sept 2016
