Brighton Charity Night

You maybe aware I am doing the South Coast Challenge, a 100km walk from Eastbourne to Arundel, and I am raising money for the great Brighton charity RISE

To help me raise some money I thought it be a good idea to have a charity night. So with my thinking cap on I decided I wanted to do something a bit different, so came up with my theme

Lip Sync Challenge Night

For anyone who hasn't show the hit US TV show Lip Sync Battle, the night is all going to be about people lip syncing to their favourite song. Sort of like karaoke for people who can't sing (or just for people who want a bit of fun)

We have a date, and a venue. Friday 29th July at The Joker pub at Preston Circus

As organising an event like this is a new challenge to me, I am asking the people of Brighton if they able to help, offer me advice etc

What I need help with is

  • Need a DJ - play the tracks for the lip-syncing as well as playing general party music when we don't have volunteers. I have a very limited budget, so any help finding a DJ who could offer me a good price would be amazing.

  • Lip Sync'ers - If you fancy having a go, or know of friends or work colleagues who fancy having a go let me know

  • Promotion - I want to make sure I get the maximum amount of people there, so if anyone can help me promote the event, or have ideas how I can let everyone know about this

  • Raffle - I want to do a raffle on the night, to raise more money for RISE. So if anyone would like to donate prizes please let me know. I will make sure I include you in as much publicity as possible

  • And finally any advice about putting on a charity night like this would be amazing, I am going to be learning this as I go alike, so any tips would be amazing!
